Education plays a critical role in our lives and the way a city or a nation would develop and this is the reason why we at Lodha want to ensure that all children get an equal opportunity to maximise their potential and contribute to their societies.   Objectives :   - To ensure that Lodha World Schools (and affiliated institutions) are recognized amongst the Top 10 educational institutes in the MMR by 2019.  - To ensure that students of LWS develop as well-rounded individuals who have the abilities/skills to excel in their chosen professional field and also in their personal lives.  - To grow across multiple locations (land to be provided by Lodha Group) and build a sizeable & profitable presence in the school education field.  - To provide quality education at affordable fee levels for MMR's middle class (target annual costs of - = 90,000 p.a. (INR, 2015))  Key Challenges  - Currently, LWS is not seen amongst the top educational institutions in the MMR.  - There is no scalable model to ensure quality across many schools.  The Lodha Education Vision Solution :   We plan to establish atleast 5 schools (K-12) by 2018 ((10 by 2025) with a total enrolment of 10,000+ students by 2018 (25,000+ by 2025). We have successfully established the first few schools in Thane, Palava, Gamdevi (South Mumbai) and have two under design - Dahisar & Palava.   Lodha Education Strategy team would consist of Education Lead, Education Strategy Team, Advisory Board and Partners / Consultants. Indicative Functions of Education Lead and Advisory Board are as follows  Role :  - To ensure LWS is ranked amongst the Top 10 institutions in MMR by 2019   - To handle P&L responsibility of Lodha Education   - To frame & implement a scableable strategy for LWS while maintaing high quality standards.
