The group is already the largest developer in Mumbai and has made substantial investments in London with a goal of emerging amongst London’s largest developers by 2019.  Role:   - To accelerate the scale and timing of margin/cost improvement benefits from sourcing in China, Lodha group had established an international procurement office in Shanghai, China in June 2011. The sourcing office serves operations in India and is also planned to serve the UK operations.  - The office has procured over 50 cr. of materials last year. This role will lead the China procurement office and be responsible for management, processes, systems and overall performance.  Job responsibilities:  Procurement/Supply Chain:  - Managing complete Supply Chain for materials procurement from China including contract and ordering  - Category identification, Supplier Identification, selection, development, quality control, audit & relationship management  - Managing RFI/RFQ, product development & Leading Techno-commercial negotiations  - Managing consolidation towards efficient shipping & logistics coordination  Office Management & Reporting:  - Managing all office related formalities including accounting and taxation  - Setting turnover and savings targets, monitoring and reporting  - Engaging with key stakeholders for Annual/Quarterly Business Review  Quality control:  - Establishing Quality parameters, preparing QA/QC budget and monitoring  - Managing Third party laboratory testing, Pre-dispatch Inspections & audits  Risk Mitigation:  - Risk management to prevent material shortages and preparing/driving recovery plan  - Lead advanced capacity planning to ensure continuity of supply  Recruiting and training:  - Development of a cost efficient procurement team including recruitment  - Direct supervision of employees’ activities  - Training ‘on site’ (i.e. during the visits at suppliers’ premises)  Research:  - Remain current and communicate information on market trends on commodities, suppliers & competitors  Desired Background:  - 10+ years in procurement/sourcing, preferably with prior experience in Construction related materials or in sourcing from China  - Strong commercial skills  - Good communication skills & a self driver  - MBA preferred  - Willing to relocate to Shanghai, China  - Willing to travel frequently within China  - Able to manage the country office autonomously  - Strong ethics
