Position Objective Design & Build applications on big data technology stack ensuring scalability and efficiency. This role involves making an impact by driving innovation & continuous improvements in current architecture. Position to work in Analytics - Centre of Excellence team (India office) of one of the largest retail conglomerates across the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent with a diverse portfolio of retail and hospitality brands Responsibilities - Analyze the problem and chart out the big data needs for current solutions - Design the big data architecture for long term data and infrastructure needs - Build streaming and near-real time data pipelines, Scope out and develop automated solutions for existing / new processes - Integrate solutions with Data visualization as per the requirement, ideal aim should be to develop a generic self-serve tool - Integrate analytics solutions with existing enterprise systems - Scope out financial and ROI implications of development roadmaps and suggest changes - Support knowledge management within team by conduction trainings and robust documentation - Work closely with Product Management and Data Scientist teams to define and refine the solutions - Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment - Passion for technology and willingness to learn Qualification & Skills - 4+ years of experience in application development. Preference : Experience in computer science - Hands on experience in open source Big data technologies such as R, Spark, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Yarn - Experience with databases technologies like SQL server, NoSQL DB and/or Graph DB etc. - Experience with Digital Analytics (google analytics, google tag manager etc.) - Experience with web development technologies - webservers, server-side scripting (php/node.js), web frameworks (Django, Zend) - Experience with API integration (REST) & API development frameworks - Jersey, Swagger etc. - Experience with Azure Cloud services - Azure CLI, Azure HdInsight, Web Apps and/or Cosmos db, Databricks is a must - Hands on in shell scripting and basic exposure to understanding of Networking and Security - Exposure of building real time applications (example alert systems) based on technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Flink & messaging que systems is a plus - Exposure to some CRM tools like Oracle Responsys is a plus - Understanding of microservices framework is a plus
