Legal Adviser - IT/ITeS (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

- Independently handle day to day legal work and act as the key Legal advisor to management, infrastructure functions and Business clients on various aspects of law and company transactions;

- Provide Legal support for the Company's Business and Field Sales and Marketing teams concerning their marketing and distribution activities so as to be legally compliant as well as to mitigate risks for the business engagements.

- Drafting various types of contracts, agreements, lease and other documents;

- Develop and implement action plans pertaining to any new assignments. Review and interpret various corporate, business and labour laws in day to day affairs of the legal department;

- Drive the compliance management that includes due diligences, audits, training the internal stakeholders, monitoring and controlling non-compliances. Involved in the establishment and impplementation of various policies and guidelines for local needs;

- Oversee end-to-end secretarial function, governed by corporate laws and, provide guidance on compliances, labour & employment matters.

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and also with external consultants or law firms on various routine matters.

- Work effectively as part of a larger global and international Legal Team and to collaborate with other colleagues from regional and cross border teams.

Qualifications :

- LL.B. + Qualified ACS (having ICSI membership) is compulsory

- 5-8 years in legal department in any reputed MNC is a must.

- The candidate should be able to work independently and in a dynamic environment. Experience dealing in a cross border environment and with international colleagues advantageous.

- The candidate should have demonstrated his/her ability in handling key legal assignments and success in delivering excellent results.

- Sound and practical knowledge in contract and business laws, foreign exchange and other corporate laws, property laws, labour and employment laws is must.

- Excellent drafting and vetting skills and excellent presentation and communication skills is compulsory.

- Candidate should have the ability to interact with internal management and should liaise with various statutory authorities.

- Hands-on computer skills are compulsory. Experience with IT & ITES companies will be an added advantage.

- Broad experience managing and dealing with multiple external legal firms

- High integrity and committed to ethical and compliant business dealings

- Possessing a can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.

- A personable team player who is dedicated to achieving favourable and practical outcomes

- Meticulous and mature individual who is comfortable interacting with senior management and able to work well with varying levels of employees throughout the organization
