Leadership Role - Finance

Job Purpose :

- IT team is in exciting phase of Digital transformation journey. This Team manages the entire portfolio of applications including the system of records and engagements and manages global infrastructure at enterprise level with standard reference architecture in place.

- Digital transformation of company landscape is being driven by this team which focuses on persona specific needs of future workplace, process re-engineering and analytics need to drive actionable decision insights.

- Incumbent will be part of the core CIO office team which drives Digital enterprise strategy and transformation initiatives.

- This role supports the CIO and other IT leadership by extending management capacity and leadership reach within the IT group and across the business. It facilitates/achieves this purpose by crafting IT strategy and digital road-map, driving infrastructure transformation initiatives, addressing IT decision issues (investment, asset usage optimization), coordinating enterprise wide activities, actions and establishing internal IT governance on critical transformation programs.

- Incumbent is also required to reinvent ways of workings to ensure operating rhythm with sourcing and finance team.

Dimensions :

- The role has an enterprise wide focus and requires interfacing with various levels of hierarchy. Interacting with business users, finance team, procurement team, and external vendors, internal coordination responsibilities, change management and facilitation are other significant responsibilities of this profile.

Principal Accountabilities (Key Result Areas) :

Budgeting & Planning :

- Coordinate the preparing of IT Strategic Plan and roadmap

- Prepare Annual Budgets and Operating Plans. Annual budget includes the detailed bottoms up exercise to challenge every infrastructure cost element ( Opex and Capex) and its relevance and alignment with strategic plan along with IT leadership and finance team

Program Governance on Critical Transformation Programs :

- Actively drive the transformation projects with leaders and business with focus on delivery, change management

- Identify and highlight the upcoming program bottlenecks in advance to ensure timely closure

- Ensure full compliance with Established PMF (Project Management Framework) framework for managing projects

- Work with IT leaders in driving accountability of IT spend by pushing for realization of project benefits. All Project benefits to be tracked post deployment and transparent view to be provided to Senior business leadership

IT Financial Controller-ship :

- Prepare and drive productivity plans; baseline, benchmark and optimized spend on Servers, End User Computing, Network, Storage, Security and Telecom infrastructure

- Ensure all the spend is reviewed thoroughly before IT leadership approval. Business case and justifications to be reviewed for optimization along with various IT infrastructure domain leaders

- Ensure actual spend is aligned with IT reference architecture for various infrastructure domains and any deviation is highlighted and called out for in business case justification

- Ensure operational rhythm with Finance and sourcing team on business case preparation and subsequent approval for spend.

- Drive timely payment to vendors aligned with payment SLAs.

- Drive monthly global cross charging for various services offered by infrastructure team

Desired Profile :

- Masters/MBA with top tier Management Institute with undergraduate in technology/engineering

- Relevant work experience of 8+ years in consulting business facing environment, driving end to end digital transformation initiatives Strategic planning and budgeting

- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure elements (Security, Data Centre, Networks, Telecom and End User Experience) and controls

- Should have good working knowledge of cross charging and cost accounting concepts

- Should be analysis ninja.

Personal Traits :

- Highly organized and proactive; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to build and maintain effective and credible working relationships with management, direct reports and peers

- Should be team player. Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and handle confidential information discretely and professionally.
