As the University Programs APAC lead, you will be part of the leadership team that is hiring our next generation of innovators, and creating an outstanding experience for them.  This role has the scope of APAC region, with strongest focus on India and China. The role is primarily responsible for ensuring that we are strongly competitively positioned within the region. The leader will be based in India or Shanghai, with some travel within APAC & to San Jose.  The leader is responsible for the 4 critical activities for University Programs in APAC: University Relations, University Recruiting, University Community & Learning Programs, plus all Operations related to the Program. It is a true general manager role, with responsibilities for sales & marketing, budget, operations, strategy, events, etc. We will know this role is successful when we have powerful, tailored, coordinated programs in APAC, with exceptional students coming through who are shaping the future of the company.  The role requires deep understanding of the University landscape, and outstanding organizational, communication, managerial and relationships skills.  Job Requirements  This role will be the in-region leader and representative for our global programs and university relations teams. You will help localize and tailor University Programs to meet the needs of APAC’s technology, operations, customer support and sales groups. You will develop strong strategy & value proposition for the Program, build support within the business, and execute strongly.  University Relations  Ensure that we select the right Universities to hire from in APAC, develop deep relationships with faculty & career centers, design and execute an events calendar, and recruit and manage volunteers to attend the events. Build a strong employment brand across our preferred colleges in the regions  University Recruiting  - Drive workforce planning in APAC to ensure clear hiring targets  - Design and execute on clear recruiting processes  - Ensure recruiters & coordinator staffing needs are identified, and that individuals are staffed/dedicated  University Community & Learning Programs  Ensure the interns & new grads have strong, tailored programs designed & executed that are coordinated with the global programs  University Operations  - Budget: Manage 2014 budget from existing allocation. Track and authorize spends. Create 2015 & future budget submissions from within region  - Workforce planning: Ensure clarity of recruiting needs & targets in-region with 2-3 year scope. Ensure buy-in and commitment from business unit.  - Metrics: Responsible for creating, measuring and reporting out on key regional metrics – in synch with our global metrics  - In addition, you will be creating and managing a growth strategy for APAC so that we have a clear path to scale and excellence.
