The Q&G Manager role is a senior role who would lead the Quality & Governance activities in the BSO organization. He/she would manage an effective multi-disciplinary team of IT and functional experts across the areas of Software Governance, Quality, Audits, Risk & Compliance, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Continuous Improvement, and Knowledge Management (including technical writing) for effective enforcement of quality and governance standards across BSO Organization.   Additionally, he/she would also ensure effective support for the tools and applications supporting the Quality & Governance domain across code management, access management, business process testing and automation.  The domain lead would provide oversight of all quality & audit activities within the BSO organization and ensure improvements in quality control, compliance and risk management.  He/she would ensure effective leadership, teamwork and collaboration with other IT leaders, managers and staff across BSO to achieve a unified and responsive IT application support services approach to the Business. He/she would make critical decisions in coordination with other domain leads, business, and BSO leadership and would drive initiatives related to quality enhancement, continuous improvement, and knowledge management at BSO level.  Key responsibilities  Quality and Audits  - Define the quality assurance policies for the BSO organization and setup mid-ranged and annual quality targets including processes (e.g. to achieve CMMi, ISO certifications)  - Leads the development of IT risk and compliance management strategy  - Align with domain leads within BSO Organization (across functional areas) to develop an overall quality maturity roadmap and plan   - Direct the implementation, monitoring and reporting of control processes, documentation and compliance routines  - Develop and maintain policy, standards, processes and procedures to assess, monitor, report, escalate and remediate IT risk and compliance related issues  - Oversee the establishment of coding, testing, configuration, and release standards  - Own the BSO Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plan and oversee the conformance to Security & Quality policies  - Be responsible for training & dissemination of Quality principles across the IT organization  - Review the OLAs and Third Party contracts on adherence to BSO's security & quality policy  - Develop strategies for Identity and Access Management and Software Lifecycle Management  Applications Support Oversight  - Ensure the implementation of effective policies, guidelines and processes to assure maximum availability of supported Quality & Governance applications such as Access Management Applications, Software Registry, TFS, SBM ALM etc  - Implement a proactive response approach to ensure effective application support issue response and resolution  - Program manage application transition and operational readiness  - Develop deep and broad business functional and application domain knowledge and provide consultation for enhancements and break-fixes  - Validate business requirements for major application enhancements   - Review and approve functional design and work estimates for enhancements   - Ensure effective consultation with internal and external partners in exploring and applying appropriate changes to existing supported applications  - Manage a team of engineers / analysts providing support to Q&G applications  Continuous Improvement  - Interact with the leadership of business and application support teams to understand potential opportunity areas  - Achieve efficiency gains and improvements to the business processes and systems through continuous improvement initiatives based on Lean / Six Sigma concepts and industry best practices  - Manage the Continuous Improvement team that is responsible for identifying automation opportunities in repetitive processes including:  - Oversee Continuous Improvement programs across multiple application support processes like incident/ticket management, release and change management, testing etc.  - Identify resources across appropriate teams to build project team to implement improvement initiatives  - Provide Lean / Six Sigma skilled resources to drive initiatives  - Ensure the Q&G team liaises with concerned internal teams and vendor teams to ensure optimal communication of requirements to enable successful implementation  Identity & Access Management  - Oversee the role provisioning guidelines for end users for BSO systems and ensure adherence to these guidelines   - Review the periodic user access reviews and/or Audits  - Ensure appropriate privilege/VIP user management is executed  - Ensure the analysis and implement of Segregation Of Duty (SoD) rules is done appropriately  - Participate in internal and external audits for all topics related to IAM  - Participate in internal and external audits related to inter-system SoD  - Oversee the applications access provisioning and de-provisioning to various business systems  - Ensure end user support for all IAM related issues is maintained  - Monitor programs where the IAM team liaises with internal teams to execute automation projects where IAM tasks are automated across multiple systems  - Monitor programs where the IAM team liaises with internal teams to manage security role or profile changes across multiple systems in line with frequent organization changes   - Ensure access management KPIs are in line with agreed policies and are reported regularly to Senior Management  Knowledge Management  - Create KM framework with focus on streamlining existing knowledge base, designing processes for KM systems and management of the on-going KM initiatives  - Promote and create awareness about the firm's knowledge resources, which may include organizing knowledge sharing events/workshops  - Manage a team of technical writers who will provide document creation capabilities to other domains  Stakeholder Management  - Manage communications with the business regarding major enhancements and service-related escalations   - Develop and sustain effective trusted advisor relationships and partnerships with key business and internal IT partners in order to provide relevant insights, expertise and advice on application transition and support  - Guide key stakeholders on the correct process for IT projects and other large initiatives like integration post mergers or acquisitions  Performance Management   - Responsible for adherence to KPIs and target service levels for the Quality & Governance domain applications  - Periodically report performance metric dashboard for applications to the leadership  - Develops longer-term resource plans, considering internal/external resources and development strategies, to meet longer-term (3-5 year) business needs  - Assesses resource performance while ensuring individual goal setting is effectively linked to corporate and department goals  - Contribute to the monitoring and reviewing of MSP / vendor performance on service management, SLA adherence and resource utilization  People Management   - Manage the career development of reporting personnel   - Define and track the KPOs for the reporting employees and provide timely feedback
