Lead - Planning & Operations - Fashion eCommerce (2-5 yrs)

This is for the position of Planning and Operations Lead with one of our prestigious eCommerce clients.

It is an eCommerce venture of a big group, they have been in business from last 7 decades (estb in 1931)and have a turnover of $1 billion and are 25000+ member strong. They have well known own brands, licensed international brands and also retail brands in their portfolio.

They are aiming to create multi brand omni-channel entity with seamless customer experience. They are planning to have width and depth of not only their own 30+ brands but also other selected national and international brands

They aim to reach Rs 1000 cr revenue from E-commerce in 3 years

Position : Planning and Operations Lead

Reporting to : Head of Planning and Operations

Location : Bangalore

Job Description :

It will involve category planning -taking care of detailed day to day planning, support assortment plans, meet with brands along with the Buying Team, provide analytics support to category managers and follow a detailed metrics tracking. It also involves working with Merch Ops team which will be responsible for all executions and building of processes. This team will also lead all key projects for the department.

Her/His responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

On the planning side :

- Analyze sales figures/trends to anticipate future product needs

- Devise a merchandise plan keeping in mind the below :

a) Right Merchandise - Brands, Sizes, Margin Mix etc.

b) Right Time - Having merchandise at the right time in the season

C) Right Quantities - Enough stock to make the budgets and have reduced markdown stock at the end of the season

d) The Right Price - Those that will attract customers in spite of competition yet generate a reasonable return on investment

- Relay the merchandise plan to the buyer who, in turn, can decide on what products, styles, colors etc. to purchase and from which suppliers, at what price

- Ensure the PO's are planned within the OTB and the merchandise plan

- Devising a contract for the suppliers including quality control, accuracy and flexibility.

- Once the products are online, the planner should monitor stock sell through, consider markdowns, promotions or clear outs etc.

Create Daily, Weekly & Monthly Report Trackers

On the operations side :

- Coordinate on various project activities with different departments, follow-up on agreed upon milestones and maintain tracker for critical projects with weekly updates

- Work with the ERP team in defining and aligning processes across systems

- Automate Analytics and Data Flow for the department

- Work as an interface between the Category and the Cataloguing team to manage the Catalogue flow and set processes

- Work with various departments and automate the Merchandising Models

- Define the PO creation processes and the Template requirements working with the commercial team

- Work with the category team to enrich the Attribute list & manage and control the Tagging processes

- Work with the UI / UX team to create relevant changes when necessary

We are looking for MBAs from top tier b-schools(tier 1 or 2) with atleast 3 years exp post MBA. Experience in fashion eCommerce/offline retail is mandatory.
