Our parent company called Rocket Internet which is based in Berlin, Germany is the leading international online venture builder and accelerator.  This position is based in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City).  Responsibilities:  In the role of the Mobile Project CTO you will lead a team of engineers, while leveraging resources across multiple development teams. You drive development of our Apple iOS and Android apps and their integration in the development infrastructure.  You are also responsible for the mobile theme of the website and maintain it’s convenient look and feel as well as it’s interfaces to the mobile apps.  Specifically, as the Lazada Mobile Project CTO you will:  - Drive major product, platform and application engineering initiatives  - Develop and deliver against a clear technology strategy to reach business goals  - Work closely within the company engineering staff to align technology and business objectives  - Address tactical issues while maintaining strategic technology and organizational vision  - Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and overall excellence within the technology organization  - Identify, priorities and solve complex technical issues as they arise  - Consider and manage the full solution across technologies, organizations, and roles  - Focus a cross-functional technical team to deliver measurable results on a consistent basis  - Optimize the technical approaches across the team activities  - Manage the team across geographic locations  Requirements:  - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline  - 3+ year experience at a familiar role in the delivery of products and/or solutions in more than one of the following domains: software engineering; mobile app architecture design for broad web service integration, local persistence and payment processing; mobile platform guidelines and APIs; mobile best practices; mobile marketing and analytics; mobile application testing using UI automation and integration testing; CI integration; web service APIs and applications; mobile integration of social media; 3rd party application ecosystems  - Experience within Apple iOS and Android application development is essential, and experience of other mobile platforms is beneficial  - Excellent understanding of web services, and their design with respect to mobile applications  - Proven experience in hiring developers and QA engineers, inspiring, and retaining teams of exceptionally talented technologists  - Effective communicator, able to persuade and influence across the organization  - Able to effectively articulate technical concepts to diverse-skilled audiences  Bonus  - Product Management experience at e-commerce websites  - Experience with IT projects that help marketing initiative  Application process  - Please send your CV including your earliest starting date.  - Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview
