ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Business Development :
- Managers shall be significantly involved in working closely with the concerned Account/Sector/ Business line Lead Partner/s and support the team in achieving the desired business goals. They may be assigned a market/geography/solution/account or a set of clients for business development.
- He/ She is responsible to conceptualize and build relevant thought leadership material to be showcased to the client in order to enhance KPMG value proposition.
- Support related to areas such as proposals for new business, GAAP convergence, new accounting pronouncements and other regulatory changes which impact accounting decisions.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge
Thought Leadership :
- Contribute to solution development and thought leadership
- Contribute to articles (Content development) on technical matters for internal and external publications
- Lead internal and external knowledge sharing calls
- Represent the firm in internal and external forums as speakers
- Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge. ADs are expected to be part of industry forums
- Participate in practice initiatives and lead knowledge management
THE INDIVIDUAL :
- Expert knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, Indian GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Prior experience in client facing / account management roles
- Exposure to business development in consulting (Pre-sales support, proposals, RFP responses)
- Strong writing, articulation and presentation skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work well in teams
- Ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours
- Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic and lead by example
QUALIFICATION :
- Qualified Chartered Accountants / CPA / ACCA
- 5+ years of experience accounting advisory, with experience in IFRS, US GAAP, or statutory audit experience.
