KPMG - Assistant Manager - Procurement - Software Licenses (5-9 yrs)
About the Role:
The aim of the Software & Database Licensing Enablement project is to support KGS- ability to utilize software licenses in support of all KPMG member firms worldwide.
A key project deliverable is to achieve 100% compliance for KGS with all applicable software & database licensing agreements. Additionally, the project should support KGS- ability to utilize the underlying software/database to provide services to all KPMG member firms irrespective of which firm owns the contract with the software/database vendor.
The above project outcomes would allow KGS to respond faster to customer requests while mitigating risks of non-compliance with third-party vendor agreements.
Achieving the outcomes could involve a range of solutions, from amending existing vendor contracts to establishing new vendor contracts, as applicable.
Responsibilities :
To support the project as follows :
- Contribute to shaping the project .
- Identify data requirements for the project
- Review data gathered and provide solution options and recommendations
- Procure software and / or databases from KGS / KPMG India, where this is the chosen solution. Liaise with vendors, including conducting commercial discussions, to amend or establish new contracts, as applicable
- Contribute to shaping relevant steady state / BAU Procurement processes that the project will hand off to
- Hand off to steady state processes, as applicable
The role will involve working as part of a cross-functional and global team (PMO, Legal, Risk, Procurement, IT Security and others, across both offshore and onshore) to shape and deliver solutions
The Individual :
- 5+ years of experience in buying / negotiating complex IT Software / Networks solutions including maintenance and support
- Experience of category management
- Experience negotiating framework contracts and an in-depth understanding of relevant issues e.g. IPR, liabilities, warranties, geographical issues
- Experience on Software License Agreements preferably on large software vendors such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and an understanding of various SLAs, T&C's of software contracts, global contracts etc.
- Experience on outsourced contracts, managed services, service provider license agreements, click to accept & shrink wrap licenses
- Good working knowledge of commercial contracts and ability to connect / network / collaborate with Legal, Finance, IT,PMO and the Business.
- Working experience on global procurement tools such as Ariba/SAP is desirable
- Comfortable working in virtual team arrangements - understands the complexities of Global procurements as well as local.
- Certification in SPSM is desirable
