The highly successful Economics & Disputes practice at KPMG is looking to accelerate its recent growth. The team, largely based in London but now also expanding internationally, provides dispute resolution advice and economic advice on regulation and competition issues. From a sector perspective the work currently focuses on energy and utilities, mining, financial services, telecoms, health and professional services and will continue to expand.

The KPMG Economics & Disputes practice serves a diverse international client base, across a variety of industries and in many geographic markets. The Disputes team typically works on providing accounting advice and expert witness services in respect of a variety of disputes in the English High Court, and other local courts internationally such as Singapore, as well as in international arbitrations. The types of disputes the team are involved in include:

- Contractual disputes;

- Professional negligence claims;

- Shareholder disputes;

- Insurance claims;

- Matrimonial disputes;

- Warranty claims;

- Completion accounts disputes; and

- Valuation disputes.

Roles and Responsibilities

We are a national team looking for an assistant manager based in London to work within the Dispute Advisory Services team. The role will offer interesting and varied work on a variety of disputes and includes the prospect of some overseas travel.

Qualifications and Skills

- Professionally qualified (ACA or ACCA)

- Experience and Background

- The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience

- Significant audit experience is essential. (Forensic experience is not required)

- Interest in dispute-related work.

- Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills.

- Strong report writing skills.

- Strong interpersonal and team working ability.

- Resilience
