Position Title : DM/AM (Bathroom Furniture)  Company ; Kohler India Corp. Pvt. Ltd.  Grade / Level : DM/AM  Division / Department : Product Engineering  Job Purpose :  - Conceptualize, design and execute new projects within framework of cost, quality and delivery targets laid down by business. Develop the Bathroom furniture engineering function in line with the other core engineering teams in Kohler India.   Principle Accountabilities :  Expected End Results & Major Activities :  - Develop domain expertise in Bathroom furniture product development.   - Experience in specification, usage, testing of material used in furniture for bathroom, kitchen and living room furniture.  - Experience in wood & wood substitute materials, wood & wood substitute surface protection materials & treatments.  - Experience in wood and wood substitute joining and fastening techniques, hardware, bonding etc.  - Experience in decorative application on wood and wood substitute surfaces.   - Create database of Engineering codes and standards for Furniture category (Local, International, Kohler). Create India specific standards for Kohler company.  - Product migration from other Kohler markets to India with changes in colour/material finish relevant to India market  - Develop furniture Product testing capability in India  - Create CAD database of all furniture ranges present with Kohler for future use  - Create supplier base in India and abroad to cater to Product Development needs  - Identify right material basis different application (Substrate, Laminate, Veneer, coatings, etc), define material specs as per geographic availability, create matrix of cost vs. Water resistance, Hardwares, fasteners, etc   - Help Product marketing team in creation of warranty guidelines/ cleaning and maintenance instructions with support of Product testing of existing products.  - Create competition benchmarking for Bathroom furniture, Wood Raw material suppliers, Kitchen cabinetry categories for use in future  - Create strong Bathroom Furniture vertical in Engineering in line with other Engineering groups in Kohler India.   - NPD (New Product Development) cycle - from Kick-off till Product launch  - Product Development tool knowledge like DFMEAs, Design standards, Design Checklist, Qualification test plan, Verification test plan, PPAP, DFM, DFE, Mold flow analysis, Structural simulation analysis  - Sound knowledge of manufacturing process like Injection molding, Casting, machining, Sheet metal operations, etc  - Work experience in a profile which involved extensive interaction with internal customers like Manufacturing, Product Marketing, Sourcing, Quality, etc  - Preparation of CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and documentation needed to define the product design.  - Manpower planning, resource allotment, Project budgeting, Project review presentations, Team reviews  - Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack up  - Product Packaging development  - Prototyping knowledge and experience- all technologies available  - ECN and ECN Management  - Experience in handling global projects  Key Interactions :  Internal :  - Director- Fixtures and Faucets Engineering  - Manager - VC Product Engineering  External :  - Sourcing  - Product Marketing  - ID  - Supplier Base (Both Domestic and International)  Skills And Knowledge :  Educational Qualifications&Relevant Experience :  - 10 plus years of relevant experience.   - B.E./B. Tech- Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed institute  - Experience in Product Development of Furniture, cabinets, etc is preferred.  - At least 5 years- experience in Product design using Creo, NX, etc   Skill Set :  - Advanced part modelling skills  - Exp. in PLM/ CAD Database Management software  - Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project will be an added advantage  - Excellent communication skills (written and oral)  Personal Characteristics & Behaviour :  - Open to learning and positive attitude to work  - Must be a team player, self-motivated, positive personality.  - Should be able to communicate effectively to all levels, within the business and outside the company  - Integrity and good ethical behaviour  Reporting : Direct Reporting To Director- Engieering
