Job Description - Vice President, Business Development

Based out of Gurgaon, India with frequent travels to USA and reporting into the India CEO, the VP - Business Development will be responsible for further expanding Kellton Tech's software services business in the United States and India. The VP will be responsible for generating new leads and coordinating the sales process in the areas of web, mobile development and other hi-tech areas. This would include both opportunities in areas of our current expertise as well as opportunities where expertise could be quickly built and packaged.

The person should have serious contacts in industry and can virtually call any CIO directly. The person should own the relationship and is well trusted and well reputed in IT industry. He should have strong expertise and experience in winning large IT services contracts for IT service companies in India from global clients. Playing golf is a plus.

The person should be self-driven, self-motivated and be able to work with minimal support from other team members. The person should be able to take full responsibility of bringing large multi-million dollar IT Service deals from global clients. The job will require global travel and have aggressive targets and performance based compensation.

Some of the key tasks (not exhaustive include):

- Target identification and contact information generation (support team to facilitate)

- Coordination with lead generation partners and agencies

- Cold Calling (support team to facilitate)

- Meetings with potential clients

- Email Marketing

- Networking at Conferences as well as facilitating the proposal response process

Desired Skills and Experience:

An energetic and experienced executive who can identify and generate potential deals and develop the tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition. S/He will need to actively lead the business development function in an effective, aggressive manner.

- 10 years plus of business development and sales experience.

- Develop business strategy and BD Plan.

- Experience in selling Web& SMAC.

- Expertise of managing the entire BD process with focus on developing the US and Indian markets to fetch new clients.

- Understand the client's requirement and coordinate with the Presales Department to prepare proposals.

- Assist in negotiating and finalizing / closing deals.

- Somebody with a greater emphasis on opening / generating and qualifying new leads is a better fit than somebody with more emphasis on closing deals.

- A valid business visa to travel to USA is nice to have.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology, with an MBA preferred.
