Executive Director - Asset Management Operations - Bank (14-24 yrs)

We are currently assisting a Premier Bank for the position of Executive Director - Asset Management Operations. The position is based in Mumbai.

Job Description:

- Managing Asset Management Operations.

- Processing of incoming funds, outgoing funds.

- Release and monitoring of swift messages.

- Processing of funding instructions given by Settlements, mutual funds team.

- Processing and setting up of Standing Order Instructions.

- Book keeping tickets and internal transfers.

- Day to day operations including transaction processing, client service delivery and operational & systemic controls.

- Constant and regular review of processes and performance with focus on improving quality and competency / performance rating

- Partner with global location managers on key deliverables to meet the business objective.

- Meet internal clients/partners service level agreements and work collaboratively to establish goals.

- Identifies department strategy & goals with participation in leading strategic projects.

- Foster and champion High Performance Culture where people are empowered to make decisions that affect their work/environment. Conduct effective Talent Management and Performance views.

- Responsible for risk management and audit to the business.

- Establish action plans for any control self assessment items.

- Identify the knowledge gaps and take ownership to ensure training is taking place within budget.

- This role will also involve understanding the key metrics and risk components within Operations and manage the team to meet the financial goals and objectives put forth by these processes in partnership globally with the regions where the business operations are located.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Strong knowledge of International Banking and financial services operations.

- Candidate should possess strong knowledge of securities markets, especially US Domestic.

- Relationship building skills:To develop and build working relationships with diverse groups and senior executives.

- Client focus: Role involves servicing highly sensitive Trust relationships / ultra high networth individuals and managing the Client experience is one of the key deliverables.

- People management - ability to manage large teams, develop key talent, as well as manage the expectations of people. Ability to manage groups remotely across multiple locations.

- Leadership - create an environment of leading by example and is an effective role model. His/her actions reflect an appropriate level of independence; demonstrates the ability to initiate and effect change and continuous improvement, contributes significantly to the on-going development of people, process and business.

- Control orientation and Risk awareness- Candidate must possess an eye for detail and must be able to create an environment of control and compliance.

- Communication - Organized, clear and confident in written and oral communications. Actively engages in discussions offering expertise, opinions and advice.

- Teamwork - Creates and/or contributes to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility, i.e. effectively influences others to gain cooperation and address issues; initiates and is responsive to requests from other products and regions

- Ability to identify opportunities for automation and independently drive Technology initiatives, both locally and globally

- Be able to drive positive changes, promote ownership and demonstrate "My business Mentality".

- Manages Relationships through inclusivity and is able to actively manage stake holders and demonstrate collaborative team work.

- Strategic thinking, should be creative and innovative; challenges status quo; generate strategic advice/product/client solutions
