Our nine primary healthcare clinics, which work on an assisted telemedicine model, serve a population of about 5,00,000. One of the core focus areas of the organization is to promote preventive and healthy best practices in our areas of work through advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities.

Role: Chief Operations Officer

Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

Job summary

This role is to partner the founder CEO in realizing the vision of Karma Healthcare. This role is to partner both in formulating strategy and execution in the rapid expansion phase of the organization, keeping in view its strong commitment to quality and the need to build an efficient and commercially successful business. We see this role evolving into one managing a three-digit team size in the next three years and being a key internal stakeholder in the Organisation.

Candidate Profile:

- MBA in marketing/sales or operations or Masters in public health

- 10 years plus of total experience, with experience of working in markets in rural India.

- A significant share of the experience should be a sales or operations role, with the candidate having a proven track record for delivering outcomes.

- This role has responsibilities of managing a team and driving strategy for the business unit/organization. Hence it is desired to have at least four years of experience in managing and leading teams in the past.

- Experience of working in environments that involve managing diverse set of stockholders in an ambiguous environment is preferable.

- Strong analytical ability and problem solving orientation.

- Excellent people skills and relationship building abilities.

- Excellent verbal proficiency in English. Hindi and Proficiency in local dialects of Rajasthan will be a plus.

- Willing to travel extensively to centres, customer locations and partner sites, as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Co-create and execute strategy for the overall business, keeping in mind the core tenets of accessibility, quality, integrity and efficiency of Karma Healthcare.

- Co-create & execute outreach and marketing strategies and plans so as to scale-up patient walk-ins and build recognition and trust in the Karma brand. Co-create & execute a strategy for rapid expansion of the footprint of Karma Healthcare, through owned and partner-driven models that optimize cost and quality.

- Co-create & execute a step by step structured approach for delivering center-level and organization-level profitability of Karma Healthcare.

- Create and manage effective team management frameworks. This framework should be scalable to be able manage a large size team of over 100 professionals.

- Drive project monitoring and evaluation plans, annual work plans and budgets, and other project deliverables

- Put in place innovative and effective processes and nimble systems to manage unstructured operating environments and evangelize adoption of a process-based approach across the organization.
