Job description:

Karma Capital, a leading Investment Management firm, is seeking an Equity Analyst to join the investment team. Position is open for Delhi or Mumbai location.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and communicate investment recommendations based on comprehensive industry and company research.

- Provide stock recommendation based on detailed financial analysis, due diligence and management meetings.

- Develop rigorous valuation analyses to support investment decision-making.

- Present recommendations to the investment team.

- Monitor market news and stock price action and relay relevant information to the portfolio manager in a timely manner.

- Participate in industry conferences and develop a professional network across various sectors.

- Be proactive and stay ahead of stock sensitive news and information.

- Research, develop, and articulate the firm's views on investment ideas and strategies to potential investors.

The Analyst's contribution will be determined by how much alpha his/her ideas have generated, and by how much influence they've had on the overall portfolio.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Candidate:

- The candidate will perform due-diligence on companies and identify investment opportunities for the fund by conducting in-depth analysis of companies and sectors.

- In this role, candidate will conduct detailed financial and business analysis of companies under coverage, meet and interact with senior management, industry leaders and policy makers on a regular basis.

Required Skills & Qualification:

- 4+ years of Buy-side / Sell-side/ Equity Research experience.

- MBA from Tier-I Institute. CA / CFA qualification is a plus.

- A demonstrable track record of success in stock selection.

- Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate in a timely and investment-relevant manner.

- Proficiency in Indian Accounting Standards, financial modeling and valuation.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

- Strong writing, presentation and excel skills.
