Job Purpose:
- As key member of the Manlog practice, this individual is expected to work AMI/Smart Grid projects, work on identifying, developing AMI/Smart Grid solutions by working with different groups.
Key Result Area:
- To work on AMI/Smart grid Projects
- To lead BD efforts such as responding to proposals on AMI/Smart Grid
- To help BD team to enable proactive sales pitch in AMI Smart grid area
- To be able to lead AMI/Smart grid solutions in the assigned area of work
- To be a though leader in AMI/Smart Grid of work
MOST CHALLENGING/DIFFICULT PARTS OF THE JOB:
- To be able to draw clarity from the most ambiguous situations
- To meet/exceed client expectation
- To be able to multitask and deliver on time
- To be able to turnaround in short time with minimum supervision
- The person is expected to possess one or more of the following skills:
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:
Essential:
- 6-8 years of experience in E&U domain in IT Industry with significant experience around AMI/Smart Grid
- To have sound knowledge of utilities industry segments such as distribution, or retail/customer service.
- To have deep understanding of utilities business processes, best practices, comparative analysis of processes in different geographies & should have an appreciation of utilities problem areas & trends in the industry
- To have detailed understanding in Meter to cash processes, AMI processes, meter asset management
- Experience with leading Meter data Management (MDM) products such as OSI-PI, Oracle MDMS, Itron MDMS etc.
- Exposure to HAN, PHEV, smart grid concepts and develop capabilities around these areas, knowledge of smart Grid standards, Develop & leverage industry parnerships
- To be able to proactively suggest and work on developing solutions to address utilities pain areas
- To be able to work on Business development activities such as responding to proposals, preparing sales pitches, collaterals, prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- To be able to write and publish point of views in leading industry journals and should participate in industry events
Desirable:
- IT industry experience for utility industry
- AMI/smart grid implementation experience
- To have deep domain understanding of Execution of IT projects in utilities and should be fully conversant with SDLC of the project
- Experience in MDM configuration and implementation projects
- To have experience of working in working for utilities customers in US/UK/Europe
- To work on Projects with crunched timelines and ambiguous requirements.
