Job Description
The position reports into the Director - Trade Services. You will be leading and mentoring a team of about 30 professionals and will be their guide on the subject. In addition you will:
- Responsible for providing issuance & lifecycle management (X-Market, X-tracker) products offered to private and retail investors in various jurisdictions across the globe
- Provide support to the Front Office and other teams with daily issues, which may include troubleshooting problems arising on an ad-hoc basis or reacting to market driven demands such as prioritizing issuance
- Efficiently utilizing existing systems and improving current processes to increase operational efficiency
- Coordinating with Front Office, Traders, regional legal teams and Operations for a successful partnership
- Effectively manage risk and foster an environment that is knowledgeable about risk, abides by risk guidelines & controls
- Participating in cross-departmental initiatives formulated to create or improve existing functionality and processes
- Producing documentation using legal templates to create Offering Circulars and Global Securities for the issuance of new products
- Working closely with the Equity Derivative Legal, Sales and Trading teams for review and approval of documents, and co-ordinating with other members of the team
- Organizing Index license agreements with index calculation agents
The Successful Applicant
As a successful candidate, you will have
- Approximately 10 years of relevant banking experience, any overseas experience would be a plus
- Experience of People Management and proven Talent Development
- Strong problem solving skills with clear decision making ability
- In-depth knowledge of Derivative products, across asset classes
- An absolute understanding of the trading environment (Trade capture to balance sheet)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relations with tough/ demanding stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding and appreciation of Operational Risk
