About Our Client
Our client is a niche bank dedicated to servicing specific product trade and manufacturing. With a large focus on corporate lending for borrowers with whom a long standing relationship can be established as per the legal norms. They are looking for experienced Credit Risk to join their head office based in Mumbai.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Credit, you would be responsible for conducting and independent analysis on the credit proposals submitted by the borrower. You would be required to examine the last 3 years financial statements and analyze the business model of the client as well as its business cycle and evaluate the credit need. Special attention will be given to the client profile, taking into account compliance rules on KYC and AML. You would provide independent advise focusing on the strong credit elements, the risks and the mitigating elements which will be presented to the sanctioning authority. In addition, on the basis of your experiences, you would be involved in further developing and monitoring analysis tool and early warning signals to further improve portfolio credit quality. The key focus will be on preparing and submitting timely, high quality credit advices, with clear understanding of credit risks and clients needs. This role would also give you the opportunity of heading the credit analysis function across all regions of the bank around the world.
The Successful Applicant
Our ideal candidate will have an MBA from a Top Tier B-School and 6-8 years progressive experience in Credit Analysis in a leading MNC Bank / global business environment. Working capital funding and trade finance expertise/ knowledge is MANDATORY. Knowledge in Basel II and Basel III. You should have excellent communication skills in English. You have had strong academic record with exceptional mathematical skills (candidates from IIT would be preferred). The willingness to work hard during peak periods and immune to stress. This position would entail certain periods of staying abroad and travel internationally on a regular basis.
