Job Title : Senior Specialist - Healthcare Insurance Analytics

Reports to : Senior Manager - Data Analytics

Background :

Team : The Data Analytics team at JLT India provides a wide-range of services/support to various operating units within the JLT Group.

Senior Specialist - Healthcare Insurance Analytics

Role Requirements : The candidate should be from Healthcare Insurance background as the job will involve very close interaction with the stakeholders and the candidate should be energetic and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

- Establishes and maintains format, structure and preparation process of reports to be provided to superiors and upper management.

- Prepares reports to include a comparative analysis of employers spend; benchmarking against other data sources where available.

- Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule using Excel, and other reporting software.

- Collects and documents reporting / Dashboard requirements from requestors to ensure appropriate creation of reports and analyses. Uses peer-to-peer review process and end-user consultation to reduce report writing errors and rework.

- Analyse data sets and trends for anomalies, outliers, trend changes, and opportunities.

- Use the data to prepare regular and insightful descriptive analytics reports which should show the key trends.

- The candidate should be able to understand unstructured data and be able to prepare the data in structured format to deliver meaningful insights

- Create forecasting models which can be used to advice the client for changes in their benefits.

- Support the team in preparing the annual benchmarking report and manage the large amount of survey response data to analyse the responses.

Technical Skills - Previous experience in healthcare insurance industry is mandatory, preferably in analytics team or a KPO focused in healthcare insurance analytics

- 6-8 years of progressive experience mining large complex data sets, using a variety of advanced quantitative/modeling techniques.

- Proficiency in SQL with broad working knowledge of methodologies used for advanced analytics is required. Apply investigative skill and analytical methods to look behind the numbers, assess business impacts, and make recommendations through use of healthcare analytics, predictive modelling, etc.

- Analysis and forecasting of trends in medical costs to provide analytic support for finance, pricing and actuarial functions
