Job Description :

Technology manager will manage, measure and monitor all testing activities for multiple applications. Directly manage, coach, develop, mentor and performance manage 15-17 team members. Build Partnerships to sustain long term group objectives. Owns delivery of multiple projects that runs concurrently.

- 10+ yrs of IT experience, 3+ years in Project management & People Management experience .

- Experience in managing Java/J2EE and QA teams is a must.

- Experience in managing development and support teams for multiple applications.

- Experience in effective project plans for multiple projects by defining scope, estimating effort and evaluating high level design and architecture.

- Strong people management skills, with a proven ability to manage leads/Senior team members.

- Manage a team size of about 15 FTE's along with few contractors. Managing team involves recruiting right talent, build, mentor and enable to them to perform to their potential.

- Establish good relationship with US partners to strategize development scope for the group.

- Strong background experience in Designing, Development and Deployment of Web Applications Java, Java/J2EE,Oracle, Webservers and Application servers like Tomcat, Websphere etc, Crystal Reports etc

- Responsible for producing high quality Test deliverables in accordance with the project timeline in an offshore-onshore model

a) Participate in Requirement Review meetings & Project Kickoff meetings.

b) Review High level Design and low level design documents and provide feedback/suggestion

c) Assist the leads in arriving at High Level estimates (ROM) and detailed estimates.

d) Able to review the work products of team members and provide appropriate feedback.

e) Able to review architecture for suite of applications and provide suggestions

f) Identifies potential risks, prioritizes issues and escalates to the right team in a timely manner.

g) Understands and identifies KSFs (Key success factors), KRFs (Key Risk Factors) and manages these with the business partners

h) Ability to discuss debate and challenge technical issues with developers

- Applies judgment in implementing Dev & Support methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of projects/programs.

- Establish proper operating metrics and effect continuous improvement.

- Proactive in troubleshooting, listening, and problem solving skills

- Mentor/grow individual SMEs in technology and domain

- Ensures that team adheres to organization policies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Composed, poised and professional demeanor.
