- Oversee the Legal function in the organization and ensure legal compliance across the business, maintaining the business's integrity both internally and externally  - Provide proactive, in-depth, legal advice to the management, as well as implement initiatives and processes in order to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior and responsibility across the business  - Identify and analyze legal risks and implications on all business's transactions, keeping senior management informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business  - Ensure that the legal requirements related to running the business and managing operations are properly adhered to within the framework of governing laws in various locations and geographies  - Strategic planning regarding the legal affairs of the organization with the senior management and external counsels  - Monitor various policies & processes for their compliance, and offer sound advice, whenever required to enable strict legal compliance  - Work closely with the team to draft sensitive and high-value legal documentation necessary for business operations  - Draft and vet complaints, written statements, case papers, affidavits, notices, writ petitions, appeals etc. for various legal proceedings, thereby dealing with cases at different courts (from trial Courts to Supreme Court) in India.  - Handle arbitrations, and investigations by authorities; coordinate with the business units and external lawyers, track progress and ensure adequate defense in important cases  - Assist in litigations and work closely with vendors, service providers & advisors in working out best possible solutions for the group  - Work out measures for reducing litigation expenses and executing plans to achieve faster closure of cases   - Ensuring strict compliance with FDI requirements and other regulatory bodies pertaining to e-commerce business in India  - Ensure that all allegations of legal misconduct are reported in a timely manner to the management team in an attempt to maintain integrity within the business.  - Identifying and implementing strategies for building team effectiveness by promoting high-performance culture in the team
