IT Infrastructure Manager - Manufacturing

SUMMARY

The IT Infrastructure Manager will be located in Thane and manage the data center, other remote data center/server room and other host platforms include Windows servers, Virtual Machine Platform, VoIP phone systems, and wireless, switches and routers, across India. Insures all infrastructure services operate effectively and efficiently. The IT Infrastructure Manager will manage Assistant IT Infrastructure Manager to manage helpdesk and onsite support in India.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing and coordinating IT Operations for company

Develops and maintains documented processes and procedures for data center, network, service desk and asset management operations.

Selection, deployment and support of the technologies necessary for the Infrastructure and applications environments.

Project management of IT infrastructure implementations.

Manage, support, and mentor technical staff that supports the PC, mobile, phone systems, servers and network. Insure that all operations staff members are familiar and trained on these processes.

Hardware and operating systems support for all Windows, LINUX and VM located in the data center, track reliability and performance management parameters of all host platforms to insure operational levels meet or exceed established service levels.

Manage data center SAN environment. Manage the operation of back office virtualization technologies, including VMware infrastructure.

Disaster recovery planning and testing for data center operations. Manage backup processes globally for all India locations.

Manage and Support of the network, including WAN, LAN and Wireless.

Manage and support of the mobile and VoIP system.

Manage and help to maintain PC hardware and software inventory and compliance and manage PC lifecycle in India.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree minimum, 7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure with a minimum of 5 years in technology management, including people management.

Demonstrated project management and planning skills.

Effective persuasion, presentation and communication skills, both with individual contributors and senior management.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Strong Microsoft Infrastructure knowledge. Experience with VMWare support. Experience with Cisco support in a multi-location LAN/WAN environment. Experience supporting VoIP. Experience with SAN or other storage technology.

Hands-on server support experience preferred.

Infrastructure architecture experience desired.

ITIL Training is desired.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Good oral and written communication skills are required.
