About Technology Entrepreneurship program (TEP)

The TEP Programme will provide innovative approaches to engineering education by providing the opportunity for students to take design and enterprise related modules. Technology Entrepreneurship education not only provides concepts but also ensures that students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, through developing entrepreneurial skills, behavior’s and attitudes and equipping them with the key competencies to enable them to enjoy an entrepreneurial /intrapreneurial career or engage in new venture creation.

TEP will be offered as an elective to the 3rd and 4th year of engineering students and will deliver the business education through technology platform and guide students through the process of product and engineering design and prototyping with the support of engineering faculty and business mentors.

Job Outline:

TEP is a semi virtual program where the business sessions are delivered online through the technology platform and the lab activities and other engagement activities are conducted at the enrolled engineering colleges. Colleges selected for the pilot phase are from various parts of Andhra Pradesh.

The jobholder will be primarily working with the business faculty (who take the sessions), engineering faculty (faculty of various engineering colleges) and students. The jobholder will be assisting in the following activities:

1. Will have to assist the faculty while sessions are being recorded. Ensure complete logistics are arranged and work with the vendor to get the final version of the recorded sessions and put them on the technology platform. Will also ensure a timely dispatch of pre read materials or any other reading materials required for the session (through the platform or hard copies).

2. Will engage with enrolled students to answer and subject related queries through the online forum discussions, WebEx sessions, and in person (if required).

3. Will work with the TEP team and the colleges for design and execution of challenges and other outreach activities of the program.

4. Will work with the business faculty in preparing the question bank and key set for the session and putting up assignments on the technology platform.

5. Will work with business faculty in assimilating the student participation information and their assessment grades to come up with their final grades and feed them on the technology platform.

6. Responsible for coordinating with the TEP team and the participating college and arranging the any logistic support required during the program for the delivery of interactive sessions, workshops or lab sessions.

NOTE: If the jobholder is passionate about pursuing PhD s/he will be given ample opportunity to work with faculty in the areas of interest and prepare themselves to apply for PhD.
