IP Lawyer Patent - IT

Job Description: IP Lawyer

1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IP aspects of IT services agreements, joint IP agreements, NDAs, escrow agreements etc. Understanding of IP ownership issues and associated risks in context of IT services is desired.

2. Software Asset Management(SAM)- reviewing in & out software license agreements. Experience of handling various licensing models, such as web service, software-as-service, end user licenses etc will be a plus.

3. Experience of Open Source licenses, policies and compliance practices, in context of IT services is a definite plus.

4. Sound legal research experience of US, European and Indian copyright laws, Berne convention, DMCA, Copyright exception doctrines, creative commons & Madrid Protocol.

5. Work with various stake holders for managing global trademarks portfolio of the organization. Experience of trademark search, filing and prosecution practices & procedures is a must.

6. Proactively identify training needs within the organization, create training content, FAQs etc. and provide education to employees on various IP issues.

Education and experience:

LLB with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
