Invesco - Analyst - Business Recovery Services

Job Summary:

Our internal partners (business & technology) look to us for assistance in developing robust disaster recovery and business resumption strategies and plans that help ensure Invesco's business continuity preparedness. In this consultant type role, the Business Recovery Services Analyst will partner with internal clients and technology team members in creating, maintaining, auditing, testing and training of their respective business continuity plans all in an effort to establish a sound business continuity program at Invesco.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting business impact analysis with definition of critical time-sensitive functions and identification of minimum required resources for business recovery.

Assist in the design, development, and documentation of work area (business function) business recovery plans.

Work with Technology Site Managers and technical groups to ensure that recovery solutions are in place and tested.

Work with Technology Site Managers and technical groups to support and coordinate recovery efforts.

Assist with business recovery plan exercises.

Develop schedules for training / awareness for business partner associates.

Assist in the development of business unit schedules for annual business recovery documentation review and update, exercises, and independent review and validation.

Assist with the reporting of the business recovery status of business functions to management.

Provide support to management and business functional areas, as requested, when a business disruption occurs.

Work Experience:

Able to demonstrate sufficient relevant experience to perform this role competently.

Demonstrable experience of interfacing and coordinating work efficiently and effectively with business partners in remote locations.

Knowledge/ Abilities:

Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Strong verbal and written communications.

Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with remote locations.

Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing to achieve target dates.

Must be a productive team player.

Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to travel as necessary.

Basic understanding of technology processes and terminology.

Ability to work European hours.

Willing to work overtime if and when required.
