Job Description:

As a Senior Data Architect and Technical Specialist you will be responsible for providing solutions in technical architecture design, data sourcing, data transformation, analytics design, platform selection, application design, testing to deployment.

- You would be experienced with a range of big data architectures, including Hadoop, Vertica, Pig, Hive or other big data frameworks.

- You would possess hunger for in-depth knowledge of company's as well as client's internal application architecture to help manage data from multiple sources. As a senior member of the team, you would poses broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics.

- You will need to be hands on with SQL codes, guide team in installation and configuring DB Software components in hosted and enterprise environments and ensure optimizing the performance of company databases and applications.

- You will also be accountable for key production support and capacity planning for core internal and external databases.

Eligibility:

A Senior Engineer with experience in designing and implementing highly scalable systems in the areas of Data Ingestion, Workflow, Scheduler and Data Warehouse integration.

At a minimum, Ten plus year experience as an application DBA specialist and expertise in:

- Designing and developing key components and features to build NextGen Data and Analytics Platform using Apache Spark, Hadoop eco-system (HDFS, Map/Reduce, Hive, Hbase, Sqoop, Impala, Oozie, Cassandra, Kafka, Flume, Storm etc.).

- Working experience of handling large databases (Big Data sets). Experience in creating and managing an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse

- Ability to extract data from various data sources(Structured & unstructured sets)

- Experience in Cloudera/Hortonworks/MapR/Hadapt an added advantage.

- Understanding of XML helpful

Soft Skills:

- Strong communication skills required

- Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously

Education:

- An Engineering degree in a relevant discipline. MCA candidates can also apply.
