Job Description;
International Business Head will be responsible for establishing our client's operations and brand in a country, grow B2B business and B2C business, hire and grow the local team, and drive local marketing and product development.
Operating responsibilities:
Market intelligence:
- Identify market opportunity for My client by understanding pain points for doctors and consumers
- Understand competitive offerings on the market, pricing, positioning, feature set
- Understand and manage regulations related to healthcare IT (consumer & doctor facing) and healthcare delivery
P&L management:
- Establish, chase and achieve city sales and traffic targets and any other metrics agreed upon with Bangalore HQ
- Prepare and achieve budget for the city
- Track, monitor, and manage key business targets and other metrics for the city; present reports on monthly and quarterly basis
- Take corrective actions to stay on track of revenue and budget targets
- Ensure cross-functional cooperation between sales, marketing and operations to achieve business targets
- Keep constant communication with HQ on progress/issues/resources required
Sales:
- Create compensation and incentive structure for the sales team members
- Assist City sales manager (CSM) to attract and hire top sales talent
- Work with CSM to achieve sales and sales efficiency targets and evolve benchmarks/standards that My client should chase
- Work with CSM, Head of International and Head of Sales (HQ) to produce and evolve PWOS in the country
- Develop Inside sales function for the country
Operations
- Work with central Operations function in Bangalore to set up Patient experience/Doctor experience support functions in city
- Recruit Content manager (either locally or in India) and set up Content operations in city
- Ensure achievement of targets on Content penetration, enrichment, accuracy and timeliness
- Implement any changes to - My client's Way of Patient & Doctor Experience Management- which are required by local conditions
- Implement any changes to - My client's Way of Content Generation & Management- which are required by local conditions
- Evolve and achieve benchmarks/standards that My client should chase in terms of efficiency and quality of Operations (support and content)
Marketing:
- Work with Marketing manager from central HQ team (or hire a local Marketing manager, if necessary) to deliver agreed upon marketing targets (e.g. traffic volume, number of appointments, etc)
Product management:
- Work with assigned Product manager to ensure MVP and evolution of My client products for the country (both doctor and consumer facing)
- Constantly think about what other products/services can be offered locally
Administration:
- Work with Finance team to set up proper legal entity in the country (if required)
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws with respect to foreigner work permits
- Ensure legal and tax compliance of the legal entity
- Ensure timely establishment and efficient management of office premises
Leadership responsibilities:

- To create an optimum and robust team for the city
- Exhibit exemplary leadership in thought, work ethics and alignment to My client goals
- To inculcate high degree of ownership and excellence by setting an example in own work and mentoring individuals under his/her direct reporting (Sales, Content manager, etc)
- To clearly define roles for direct report, and carry out appraisals in a manner prescribed by HR
- To give regular and constructive feedback to each direct report and ensure a healthy work environment of learning and growth
- To ensure pro-active career planning for each member of the team - so as to ensure maximum levels of motivation across the team at all times
HR Culture & Discipline:
- To ensure the best levels of discipline and behavior across the team
- To ensure advance planning of all leave and absence across the team, so that work never suffers
- To ensure a culture of integrity, professional work ethics and a healthy competitive spirit across the team, at all times
Alignment with My client Goals & Vision:
- To ensure clear knowledge of My client's Vision, Mission and Goals across all members of the Product team at all times
- To ensure that every member of the product team is aware at all times, about how his role and actions influence / contribute towards the achievement of My client's Vision, Mission and Goals
