Insurance Risk Advisor - General Insurance (4-8 yrs)
Someone from Life or General Insurance Company (Insurance market must).
Experience in Risk framework, Risk reporting, control environment, Capital management framework.
(Preferably from Big 4)
The Role :
- The role is to help grow our existing - advisory- Risk Management services in the Insurance Sector.
- A Manager within the team would typically be responsible for delivering advisory engagements and building our relationship with existing and target clients. Our key services clients include:
- Risk Transformation programmes
- Risk Framework development / review (covering all or deep dive into risk categories e.g. market risk, operational risk)
- Risk Appetite
- Risk MI
- Control Effectiveness
- Solvency II, Pillar 2 including the ORSA
- Capital Management
Responsibilities :
The responsibilities of the person filling this role will include some or all of the following :
- Managing / assisting in the delivery of client engagements, with responsibility for client deliverables and day-to-day liaison with clients
- Managing project teams or work streams within a project team, on client sites
- Providing technical input to a number of projects and providing review and challenge to deliverables produced by the team
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships at existing and target clients
- Contribute to the development of new propositions / services and the refreshing of existing products / services
- Actively identifying and supporting business development opportunities, including supporting the team with sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentation
- Working closely with the Partners to play an active role in the proposal and pitching of products / services for new work
- To work with other division teams and provide technical input
- Coaching and developing team members both as part of our overall Performance Management process or on specific engagements.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree and ideally have professional qualification and experience that are aligned to our key services outlined above.
Experience and Background :
- Previous experience of working in Insurance industry
- Previous experience of working in a consultancy
- Expertise in at least 3 of our key services
- Knowledge of UK regulatory regime for Insurers
- A broad knowledge of Insurance products and strategies
- Knowledge of international regulatory requirements an advantage
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to explain Risk Management concepts with clarity
- Experience of working to deadlines and managing teams
- Strong external network an advantage
