Insurance Reporting - CA - BFSI (5-13 yrs)

The key responsibilities of this role are to :

Support financial close processes across region :

- Support the delivery of clearly defined, tailored and timely financial reporting instructions / timetables to Local Entities, ensuring they are consistent with Group standards, documented, widely understood and enforced

- Coordinate and review Group financial reporting submissions from local entities to ensure reporting quality standards are met

- Process manual journal entries and ensure accurate Asia financial results at Group consolidation review

- Work closely with Reporting & Business Analysis team and Strategy team to ensure financial and management data in Magnitude (Group reporting tool) are aligned with financials as in the records of both Regional team & Local Entities

- Set up controls tools / checks to ensure data consistency and integrity for data submitted by local entities into Group reporting system

- Ensure good quality and timeliness of the reported financials and data. Review the control checks results, identify and fix input errors

- Handle Group's queries on financial reporting inputs in Magnitude / Nautilus (Group reporting tool), Provide accounting and system supports to local entities on Group reporting tools

Support the monitoring of local entities to follow Regional and Group financial and management reporting policies/ methodology, procedures and control :

- Support periodic review, update and implement regional financial policies based on changes in accounting standards and new developments

Support Regional & Group governance reporting across the Asia region :

- Assist in the required CFO sign-offs to support Group's HY and FY financial close

- Assist to summarise the external audit findings status update for the RMACC on timely basis

- Support the Group audit fees negotiation by collecting and summarizing audit fees budget of Local Entities

- Provide ad hoc research on technical accounting issue

Support the delivery of governance and Magnitude training to enhance Local Entity capabilities around financial, management and performance reporting disciplines

Experience/Qualification :

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline. Actuarial knowledge is an added advantage

- CA, CPA or qualified Actuary

- Minimum of 3 years insurance industry experience
