Job Title: Senior Manager, Innovation
PRIMARY FUNCTION -
- Responsible for driving the culture of innovation through implementation of innovation road map at Target Bangalore.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Leadership:
- Definition , implementation and governance of Patent process at Target Bangalore
- Ideate, identify, build and roll out training programs as applicable
- Build a consistent, robust and scalable recognition programs focused on Innovation
- Make recommendations to Innovation council from the innovation roadmap implementation experience.
Delivery / Execution:
- Idea life cycle management – Partnership with KMG + Leaders to drive viable ideas from concept to completion.
- Implementation of Innovation Roadmap
- Selection / screening and realization of ideas submitted by team members
- Drive and enhance myIdea platform capability (Integration of share point, tools , techniques etc)
- Conducting idea generation workshops (for all the problem statements)
- Ownership and execution of The Amazing myIdea Race
- Arranging/facilitating trainings on myIdea/Innovation
- Regular updates/communication to the intended audience on different initiative status.
Partnership:
- Establishing Strong partnership with Patent Counsel in Minneapolis
- Building strong relationship with KMG+ Leaders to drive theme sponsorships on intentional innovation themes
- Partnership with external agencies like universities , research institutions, focus groups to understand and implement innovation Trends
- Accelerate cross-functional partnership along with Business Process Excellence team to identify areas of partnership to roll out Target India initiatives
- Partner with MPLS Innovation teams to drive continuous enhancement and improvements
