Indirect Taxation - Cement Industry (3-5 yrs)

Job Description :

Objectives

- Proper and timely preparation of all tax documents, in particular with regards to statutory requirements concerning all indirect taxes.

Organizational / Reporting:

- Person will report to the Teamleader Taxation

- Interaction with various departments.

- Interaction with Tax authorities and tax consultants.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with government and other statutory requirement with regards to indirect taxes:

- sales tax

- VAT

- service tax

- any other indirect taxes

- Ensure that tax returns and all forms are correct and reconciled on a monthly basis.

- Ensure proper and timely submittal of all form requisitions (C-, F-, H-Forms and any other forms), filing of all forms received from vendors (E1, …) and from customers (C-Forms) – including ensuring proper filing system and proper reconciliation / documentation and including follow-up with vendors and customers.

- Ensuring proper and timely preparation of tax returns (e.g. sales tax, service tax, …) and of all forms (DVAT 30, Form 4, ….) necessary in order to meet all statutory requirements.

- Ensure proper accounting of all tax entries including offsetting all tax receivables with tax payables accounts where applicable.

- Ensuring Sox Compliances with respect to their area of work.

- Support with all tax issues as required, e.g. setting up of additional tax registrations in other states in India, etc.

Requirements:

- CA/CS/ICWA

- Good knowledge of Tax Laws.

- Good listening and communication skills (speaking and writing) are essential.

- Team Player. Handling & managing small teams.

- Must be smart, confident, and assertive.

- Good knowledge of Accounting Standards and IT systems (SAP & MS Office).
