April 2015) is India's first cross party advocacy group, which endeavors to support the election of visionary, progressive and inclusive leaders to public offices. With our members previously organized under the banner of Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) (est. 2013), we have been operating in the socio-political domain for the last five years and have been lauded as the - Powerhouse that changed [election] campaigning in India forever-. Set up with the ambitious goal of re-inventing the socio-political space, I-PAC provides a platform for young professionals to meaningfully associate with electoral politics and contribute to policy making and governance by setting the agenda for incoming governments.   In recent years, Data analytics has established itself as an essential aspect of political campaigns. In I-PAC, data modeling to data visualization, various techniques are used for survey analysis, voter's behavior analysis, campaign resource allocation etc. Data analytics team works closely with digital marketing team to monitor and analyze sentiments on digital media platforms.   WHO IS I-PAC LOOKING FOR :   - Demonstrated ability to perform complex data extraction and processing   - Combine business knowledge, insights, statistical techniques and data mining techniques to identify behavioral trends   - Strong mathematical background with strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, statistics, operations research, econometrics, natural language processing, and/or information retrieval   - Explain and perform a variety of statistical and data mining techniques e.g. discrete choice/conjoint analysis, latent class and other clustering techniques, maximum difference scaling, multivariate and logistic regressions, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, decision trees (e.g. CHAID/CART), and factor and correspondence/MDS analysis   - Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency   - Build predictive models from multiple unstructured and structured data sources, develop advanced algorithms that extract and classify information from large data sets.   EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & WORK EXPERIENCE :   - Post graduate or bachelor's degree in Business/ Statistics/ Mathematics /Economics/Computer Science/ Engineering/Operations Research   - 2+ years of work experience related to Excel, VBA and MySQL.   - Expertise in at least one in SQL, Tableau, R or Python for performing data analysis and visualization   - Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques such as Classification, Clustering, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Tree, Random Forests, Non-parametric Methods, Multivariate Statistics, Reliability Models, Markov Models, Stochastic models  - Analyze and model structured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced methods from statistics, machine learning, data mining, econometrics, and operations research   LOCATION :   Our head office is in Hyderabad and you can be expected to be deployed as per project requirements
