Indepay - Financial Controller - CA (8-12 yrs)

Financial Controller will be required to build and sustain financial support to business functions, to deliver cost effective and qualitative support services and to effectively monitor and strengthen the Finance sub functions like accounting, tax, insurance, budget, credit, investment and treasury functions.

- S/he will be reporting to the Head - Enabling Services. The candidate will have an opportunity to grow vertically/horizontally across geographies.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Responsible for a spectrum of activities encompassing finance, accounting, tax planning, treasury, corporate secretarial, management reporting and administration

- Will ensure the compliance to taxation regulations followed in geography

- Sign off the accounting reports & ensure that they are compliant with various regulations

- Will be part of the core management team and involved in key strategic-level business decisions

- Financial planning and analysis including preparation and review of annual business plans

- Responsible for liaising with various stakeholders in connection with legal matters and acquisitions

- Responsible for monitoring of capital expenditure projects and accounting thereof

- Coordinating with business partners and government agencies for smooth running of operations

- Responsible for credit assessment and credit control

- Reviewing Statutory Books of Accounts & Annual Financial Reports

- Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth

- Ensure compliance of processes via ERP across the finance vertical

- Develop and manage metrics that measure the effectiveness of Finance function

- Build good documentation and reporting practices within the organisation

- Monitoring of capital expenditure projects and accounting

- Liaison with stakeholders for legal matters and acquisitions

- Negotiate and close the commercials with business partners/vendors

Key Skills :

- Graduation (preferably commerce) with Chartered Accountancy

- 8 to 12 years of experience in across areas of Finance of which 6+ years should be in payment/ financial services or related industry

- Exposure to operate finance function effectively and independently

- Should be able to identify potential risks in the system and can recommend preventive measures

- Manage and communicate with vendors, partners, regulatory authorities, banks etc.

- Translates strategy into action plan

- Anticipates obstacles to change and plans accordingly

- Superior analytical skills that include the ability to see macro/micro issues

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are mandatory

- Proficient in MS Office suite of products
