Role: Business Development

Location: Initially India; to be relocated to US and other Geos over time

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

- Close business in line with assigned sales targets by developing business for Indegene’s products, platforms and services for the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare industry

- Work with sourcing and procurement groups within client organizations to empanel Indegene as preferred/approved supplier

- Expand key accounts by ensuring renewal of contracts, and closing licensing, FTE and Centre of Excellence deals

- Orchestrate face-to-face meetings with target audience and support the entire selling process from initial contact to discussions to pilots and contracts

- Effectively manage relationships with clients post initial sales cycle to continuously monitor satisfaction levels and identify further opportunities within the same account

Stakeholder Development & Management

- Create and articulate compelling value propositions for key decision makers

- Identify target clients in various specialty areas and use multiple techniques to build stakeholder relationships to generate leads on an on-going basis

- Develop competence in positioning products, services, key advantages and differentiation from other service providers to generate interest within the target audience

- Develop business / project proposals for various services / solutions versus competition

- Seek and acquire feedback from the market, competitive benchmarking about value offered, and contribute to conceptualization and development of new products and features

- Transition closed business to the project delivery teams while managing client expectations and maintaining high client satisfaction

Branding & Strategic Initiatives

- Collaborate with business partners to find alternatives and solutions to business challenges

- Seek out systems solutions (either internal to client or external 3rd party solutions) that can be leveraged to meet business requirements

- Engage the business client early, effectively build solid relationships, and push the company value upstream as key business direction is set

- Drive brand building initiatives in partnership with marketing – whitepapers and various marketing collaterals

- Partner with service delivery teams/ execution teams for training, competency building, differentiation

Desired Profile

- MBA from Premier Business Schools/ Institutes, preferably with work experience of 2-5 years in Pharmaceuticals/ Healthcare

- Experience of selling solutions and managing sales pursuits focused on Pharmaceutical & Healthcare industry

- Strong business acumen and drive to accomplish business targets

- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

- Keeping abreast of the latest technological/business development versus marketing, digital, technological and MCM initiatives
