Imagination Learning Systems - Business & Functional Analyst - Financial Processes (4-10 yrs)

Job purpose:

1. Functioning in a liaison capacity, expertise in financial business processes to analyze and translate business requirements into system specification and/or business process changes.

2. Act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/automation to current Processes.

3. Independently perform business process analysis;

a. Comparison of same to automation systems and/or other desired states; document, recommend, and make process and configuration changes to one or more operating functions on the automation system (Gap Analysis);

b. Perform strategic business analysis to support ease of implementation of automation system.

c. Reviewed final deliverables upon completion with regard to business and technical soundness and appropriateness.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Defines and documents functions and processes related to finance area of the customer.

2. Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.

3. Acts as a liaison between customer end-users, technical analysts, Information Technology analysts, design, configuration, testing and maintenance functions of automation systems to ensure optimal operational performance.

4. Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.

5. Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures and use cases for use in training.

6. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new system requirements and/or operational changes.

7. Reads and interprets functional technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.

8. Plans, organizes and conducts business process re-engineering/improvement tasks

9. Assists in developing an overall change management strategy for the Institute or its specific departments / functions.

10. Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents institutes- business rules, functions and requirements.

11. Coordinates and participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.

12. Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching users and technical staff.

13. Helps in developing training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module.

Job Specification

Eligibility Criteria:

Potential candidates interested in this position must meet the following requirements:

1) Education, Qualification:

- Bachelor's Degree- B.Tech/ BE (CS, IT, ECE), BCA, BBA- CAM, BSc- CS or other related field, and/or Diploma in Computers

- Master's Degree- M. Tech/ MCA/ MBA (Specialization in Finance Preferred)

- CA/CS or those pursuing certification with necessary experience

2) Experience:

- 3-8 Years of experience Business Systems Analysis and Functional Analysis.

- Must have worked on one or more implementation of Finance ERP solutions

- Experience of working for Government organizations preferred

- Good knowledge of IT Processes & SDLC

3) Special Requirement

Preference will be given to following candidates with any of the following expertise areas or certifications.

PMP Certified, Trained on ISO, SDLC, CMMi processes

Purchase and Sales Processes

- Good working knowledge of Indian Govt. (Central and States) Financial Processes and Requirements

- Good working knowledge of Indian e-Governance processes

- Expertise in application software systems including presentation, spreadsheet, flow charting and word processing applications

- Expertise in methods of developing business process specifications procedures and methods for testing business functions within computer systems;

- Knowledge of principles and practices of producing effective project documentation including business functions, desk manuals, and configuration documentation;

- Experience in principles business information systems and practices

- Experience in principles, practices and techniques of customer service and customers- current business processes.

- Good written and verbal communication i.e. English speaking & writing proficiency.

- Ability to work calmly under pressure.

b) Behavioral Competencies

- Interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team including diverse cultures, expertise and experiences.

- Ability to work with senior (high profile) govt. officials as well as junior Govt. staff personnel.
