IFMR - Junior Risk Analyst (1-2 yrs)

IFMR Capital is looking for a ‘Junior Risk Analyst’ with at least 1 year of experience to join its Risk Analytics team in Chennai.

The Junior Risk Analyst will support the Risk Analytics function, as part of a team that measures and manages risk for a portfolio of debt and structured finance investments in inclusive finance institutions ranging from microfinance institutions, affordable housing finance, small enterprise lending, used commercial vehicle finance, and agri-business enterprises.

S/he will be responsible for the following functions:

- Measure the risk and performance indicators for debt and structured finance products

- Coordinating with internal and external teams to manage the structured transactions throughout the lifecycle

- Revise pool cash-flows and transaction waterfall on periodic basis

- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of various performance metrics for structured transactions

- Coordinate with originators-servicers to manage transaction reporting

- Manage and update the reporting framework for the periodic management and investor reporting using MS Excel and R

- Develop and implement new models for risk analytics

- Analyse the financial and portfolio performance of IFMR Capital partners

- Contribute to financial modelling and risk modelling efforts of the team

- Contribute to other on-going risk analytics and modelling processes and new initiatives

S/he must possess excellent technical and financial skills, strong reporting skills, a desire to continually innovate and add value, and a sound understanding of financial risk management.

Required skills and experience :

- At least 1 years of experience in a risk analytics function of a financial institution (banks, NBFCs, investment funds, or rating agencies).

- Masters in Finance/economics/management/mathematics/engineering or a related quantitative field from a reputed institution

- UG candidates with strong quantitative and technical skills may also apply

- Experience in financial data analysis is desirable

- Proficient in MS Excel and at least one programming language

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to work under pressure, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Undertake all other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time
