Objective:

- To help setup and maintain retail banking liability operations function for the bank and implement measures to gain consistent functioning

Key Responsibilities:

- Working closely with the head of retail banking operations for setting up the liability operations desk.

- Create and execute plan for setting up liability operations -- Account Opening & Maintenance, Statements, Term Deposits, Financial & System Control Reports, Data Integrity Management, Clearing Operations, Distribution Operations, Payment Operations, Currency Chest Operations, Transfer of Funds, Channel - Internet & ATM Operations for the bank

- Deliverables, Data Quality, KYC & AML regulations, logistic Operations, deliverables and scanning processes

- Analyzing, developing & implementing new business processes.

- Reviewing existing systems and procedures and design internal controls /quality audit checks for various processes.

- Ensuring the processes and policies are compliant and streamlined within the Regulatory Guidelines.

- On- boarding of new liability accounts and ensuring compliance across KYC, AML and Product requirements.

- Identifying Product/ Process gaps and improve them to reduce and stabilize Turn-around-Time.

- Driving quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance against key success metrics while identifying and mitigating risks associated.

- Gathering customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis and initiate system / process changes to prevent recurrence.

- Enable smooth functioning within teams and across different business operations.

Candidate Profile:

- MBA or MBA equivalent with 7-10 years of total experience. Relevant experience in managing retail liability operations in a centralized / regionalized environment, of which at least 2-3 years should be a preference

- Possesses in-depth knowledge of banking products and settlement cycles.

- Must have a process orientation and a sound understanding of banking regulations and practices.

- Ability to deal with and communicate with all levels.

- Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, growth environment both in a team setting and independently.

- Sound Knowledge on the banking practice and law as a whole

- Quick Decision making

- Good Negotiating and Communication skills
