Responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the HMC mission, vision and values

- Provides guidance, counsel and technical assistance to technicians. Build and maintain positive working relationship with co workers and the public using principles of good customer services.

- Provides consultation, expertise and exercise functional authority over hospital staff in essential matters relating to the plan (HMWMP)

- Analyzing collective data and other information as part of effective performance improvement (PI) using relevant PI tools.

- Responsible for the implementation of the plan ensuring all related environmental safety issues as in handling, segregation, storing, labeling, treatment and disposal of hospital waste, spill procedures, etc are properly executed accordingly.

- Updating the Hazardous materials and waste management plan (HMWMP) according to new scientific research and updated international regulation.

- Direct the proper implementation of the Hazardous materials and waste management plan all thru HMC facilities

- Responsible for organizing and regular training of the hospital staff in environmental precaution, drills and other matters concerning safety.

- Investigate and evaluate in all incidents and accidents related to HMC environmental safety to prevent reoccurrence in future.

- Participate in the disaster committee.

- Complies with HMC policies and procedures, and in particular infection control, safety and quality management.

- Performs other duties as requested.

Job Requirements Educational Qualifications & Certificates:

Essential Education: 3 years university degree in Quality Managment OR Nursing OR Science.

Essential Experience: 7 years in health and safety related field.

Skills:

Language Skills: English essential, Arabic preferred

Computer Skills: Excellent in using computer application (Windows, Ms office)
