IBM is hiring a Health Care Business Analyst into the Watson Lab Services team which is responsible for building and extending the Watson technology created to win the US game show Jeopardy! The health care Business Analyst will act as a vital link between the IBM Watson Lab Services and product teams and our client user community. Innovative Watson solutions will achieve our client's goals through the Business Analyst who translates customer needs into new product requirements, services, cost savings and profits.   The Watson Business Analyst's primary role is helping our health care clients implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders, facilitators and partners. They begin with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements from the perspective of the business user of the Watson solution. The role also involves managing requirements at the project level to ensure the solution lends appropriate value and fulfills business needs.  - The Business analyst will assist with the business case for each client, elicit and organize both functional and non-functional requirements, document requirements and perform analysis of the requirements.   - The business analysts uses the requirements they elicit to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.  - This specific position requires a deep understanding and experience in the healthcare industry, and experience as a business analyst in the healthcare industry working with pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, hospitals, doctors and universities.   - Specific knowledge of the oncology field would be highly beneficial.   Requirements :   - 5 years experience in the health care industry  - 5 years experience as a business analyst  - Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.  - Understanding of systems engineering concepts.  - The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis.  - Business case development.  - Modeling techniques and methods.  - Leadership.  Preferred :   - 10 years experience in the health care industry  - 5 years experience in the field of oncology  - 10 years experience as a business analyst
