Description

Practitioner provides technical expertise of architecture, design and implementation guidance along with adoption of enterprise architecture strategies, process, standards of cloud architecture, focusing on cloud platform. The role is focused on technologies like Hyper -V, KVM, Zen etc.. He or she should be able to deliver end-2-end architecture solution across various technology domains for cloud service providers (one service provider is prominent e.g. IBM Softlayer or AWS) for large client or internal engagements. The Enterprise Cloud Architect will be responsible for establishing strategy and architecture for cloud compute platform for the future including private, public, and hybrid cloud configurations.

Responsibilities:

1. One of the technology domain leadership e.g. Microsoft or Linux cloud technology

2. Demonstrate end-2-end architecture solution, strategies, design, standards and policies

3. Supports development of frameworks, best practices, various cloud patterns in one of the cloud services (e.g. IBM Softlayer/Bluemix or AWS)

4. Demonstrate strong tools adoption and selection knowledge for application migration and transformation of application to cloud.

5. Capability of vendor assessment for tools and technology required to support cloud enablement for client.

6. Designing technical architecture for cloud solutions that meet customer needs for scalability, reliability and performance

7. Deploying cloud solutions and technologies across a range of industries and solutions

8. Identifying new cloud technologies and platforms to help solve technical challenges or limitations in the existing infrastructure

9. Participating in business requirement gathering sessions, gathering user data requirements, understanding the user requirements, and assisting in the reconciliation of technical and business requirements as they relate to the cloud

10. Responsible for collaborating on and setting cloud vision; providing thought leadership in cloud infrastructure and cloud services architecture to meet operational objectives for cloud solutions.
