Position Objective
This person will also be specifically responsible for driving the Company's Business Analytics initiatives.
Role :
- Carrying out in-depth analysis of granular/raw business data and generate actionable insights across categories and facilitate data driven decision making by senior management.
- Design and drive data collation initiatives to ensure better understanding of customer profile/behaviour and drive sales growth including target setting.
- Studying industry, market & product segmentation and performing competitor analysis and benchmarking.
- Exhibit deep data insights, un-earth issues/trends not easily spotted.
- Translates data from multiple systems for analysis and generating actionable insights.
- Automation and roll out of daily, weekly and monthly reports using Excel Macro, VBA.
- Analysis and preparation of industry and function specific reports.
Knowledge & Skills :
- Strong Quantitative Analysis/Data analytics demonstrated in a retail industy.
- Excellent understanding of retail business.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Presentation Skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel, PPT and Access).
- Forecasting, business research, dashboards.
- Strong background in statistical modeling & experience with statistical tools (e.g. SAS, SPSS).
- Good exposure to SQL, Excel and other BI tools (Cognos, BO, Pentaho, Qlikview, etc).
