HT Media - Regional Head - North (12-15 yrs)

HT Media Ltd. is a leading media company having its global presence in print (English and Hindi), Internet, Events and Solutions, Education and many other domains. We are looking at hiring young passionate and self driven professionals for HT Media Ltd.

Desired Comptencies

- Sales experience with atleast 6 years in managing teams

- Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution ability

- Customer Relationship Management and Negotiation Skills

- Analytical skills for analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.

Responsibilities - Key Focus Areas:

i) To direct sales to enterprise & mid-market segment across the geographical territory with a focus on HT Campus

ii) Identify, develop and negotiate business development relationships to grow revenue

iii) Respond to elevated customer service complaints

iv) Lead with an example by owning up clients.

v) Prepare presentations, financial projections, and competitive analysis

vi) Generate and achieve monthly and quarterly forecasts

vii) On-going development of a sales team including hiring, training, and mentoring

viii) Manage a team of 10-15 employees ranging from Sr. Manager to Trainee level

ix) Customer Account Management

2) Strategy formulation and Planning:

i) Planning and executing marketing activities in tune with the Company's business objectives by identifying market opportunities across education clients in North India

ii) Formulate and implement a long-term sales strategy and short term plans (segment and product wise) for the Online sales team and ensure that this is in line with the overall sales plan

iii) Prepare annual budget for sales and sales support activities

iv) Take ownership of the regions P&L.

3) Sales Operations:

i) Monitor sales vis a vis targets and take corrective action as necessary in order to achieve sales plan targets

ii) Oversee collections and ageing and take necessary action

iii) Plan and implement local sales promotion activities within budget, ensure region compliance

4) Business Development:

i) Gather business intelligence and monitor competitive offerings in order to reposition/ redesign/ introduce offerings. Provide ongoing information to region.

ii) Leverage existing relationships, negotiate with prospective partner in order to enhance market penetration and revenues.

iii) Identify new and prospective customers, initiate and develop alternative sources of content to increase business.

Functional Skills

i) Strong Solution Selling Approach

ii) Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution ability

iii) Knowledge of the high tech industry and related sales process

iv) Customer Relationship Management and Negotiation Skills

v) People Management Skills - Able to lead the team in all areas of the sales cycle

vi) Analytical skills for analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.

vii) Ability to prioritize competing demands

Expperience : 12-15 years in the sales function

Education : Full time MBA from premier B School
