As part of this, Global Markets Corporate Services (GMCS) and Institutional Sales are looking to recruit talented and driven individuals in a number of areas to support sales teams across the globe. This will enable onshore sales teams to dedicate more time delivering better service to clients and make it easier for customers to do business with HSBC. The role provides exposure to both front office sales teams and Global Markets products whilst offering opportunities to directly liaise and develop relationships with other teams including Global Trade & Receivables Finance (GTRF), Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM), and Global Markets Operations.   - Sales Business and Performance Management Team Lead is responsible for leading a team and being a principal practitioner within the offshore centre supporting the GMCS & Institutional Sales COO through provision of key management information and services. Initially, limited client interaction is anticipated although the scope of the role is expected to develop and change over time according to business needs, maturity of technology solutions, and expansion of the offshore capability.  - The individual will be expected to work closely with the COO function and internal sales people in onshore locations and will have escalation points within Client and Transaction Management Services (CTMS) which sits within the umbrella of Corporate Treasury Solutions (CTS), a key pillar of GMCS. Engagement with CTMS will be needed for any issues or client contact requirements and acts as a bridge between the onshore and offshore teams. The team lead will be responsible for escalating issues raised from either onshore or offshore teams directly to the appropriate contact in CTMS.   The responsibilities of the role are broken down as follows;  Supervisory responsibilities  - Build an enthusiastic and motivated team that demonstrate HSBC Group values and principles  - Plan staffing resources effectively to provide support across different time zones and countries  - Provide leadership, support, guidance and training to all team members  - Conduct regular performance management appraisals with all team members  - Streamline processes and identify efficiencies that can be created in the offshore capability  - Be the single point of contact for onshore sales teams to escalate any issues  - Review work of analysts and establish standardised communications and outputs in conjunction with the onshore sales teams  - Be involved in strategic discussions with the senior management teams within the offshore centre   - Be accountable for quality of output of the team and delivery of the offshore capability  - Identify further opportunities for the offshore capability to support onshore sales teams   - Manage changes to processes as technology platforms evolve  Delivery Responsibilities  The role entails building partnerships and collaborating with the COO function and onshore sales teams in order to operate in a control framework whereby key decisions are made by the appropriate onshore team member. The purpose of the Sales Business & Performance Management team is to support the GMCS COO through provision of key management information and services. The responsibilities of the role will evolve with the expansion of the offshore capability and rollout of technology platforms. The objective of GMCS is to lead with service and deepen relationships across our corporate client base underpinned by the HSBC values.  GMCS client facing business is organized into Corporate Treasury Solutions (CTS) and Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) and supported by the GMCS COO team.  - Corporate Treasury Solutions (CTS): Aligned to the operational risk management needs of Treasurers, CTS will provide an enhanced transaction banking proposition collaborating with Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM) and Global Trade & Receivables Finance (GTRF). CTS leverage our product structuring expertise and thought leadership to offer multi-asset risk management and working capital management solutions. As part of CTS, the Client & Transaction Management Services (CTMS) function is responsible for managing and developing relationships with transactional clients serviced primarily over e-platforms and aims to consolidate the flow based business under one area.   - Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS): Focus on deepening relationships with Strategic and Focus clients at the C-Suite level to better understand and solve client problems. This includes event-driven risk arising from major corporate financing events, or creating thematic solutions in response to market and regulatory trends.  - COO & Control Office: Primary goal is to deliver new disciplines and processes to allow salespeople to spend more time on client needs and support the maintenance of enhanced conduct and controls.  Institutional Sales  - The role of the institutional sales team is to sell a variety of products to institutional clients such as banks, supranationals, insurance companies, and pension funds   - The desk helps institutional clients manage the asset / liability portfolio on their balance sheet as well as acts as a counterparty for banks looking to back out derivative trades done with their client base   The GMCS Markets Front Office roles need to be seamlessly integrated in to the wider Global Banking and Markets Service Centre structure whilst ensuring appropriate segregation of duties. An effective support structure needed to enable Bangalore offering to be scaled as the business grows.
