The Shortlisted candidate will be contacted by us  Role Purpose   Work within the FI Quantitative Analytics team on:  - Development of models  - Documentation of models  - Extend scope of existing models (currencies, indices...)  - Integration analysis/support  - Development of model interfaces  - Development of test / release tools  Impact on the Business/Function  Work within the FI Quantitative Analytics team on:  - Support resolution of problems  - Support development of models  Customers / Stakeholders  - Key resources in FI Analytics team in Bangalore  - GBM Service Centre management in Bangalore   - Global Quant team and FI management in London  Operational Effectiveness & Control   - Develops the infrastructure and capabilities needed to enable operational effectiveness and the delivery of the desired results and ensures that decision making is delegated to the most appropriate people  - Offer solutions to problems, supporting with the continuing development, implementation and improvement of the processes, structures, capabilities, capacity and infrastructure needed  Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)  - The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators  - The jobholder will adhere to all relevant processes/procedures.  - Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.  - Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.  Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :  - 1-2 years- experience working with financial or economic data   - Strong technical skills preferably with post-grad qualification MSci in Applied mathematics or statistics or engineering.  - Good computer science knowledge : C++  - Excellent communication and problem solving skills  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with very strong analytical skills.   - Motivated and a quick learner  - Attention to detail and ability to ensure that information is captured in a timely manner   - Aptitude to pick up programming languages
