Business Analyst - NAV  We have an urgent requirement for - Manager - NAV - HSBC-Kolkata  Role Purpose  Business Analysts are typically responsible for Requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management. Business Analysts work collaboratively with delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options. In systems related projects and programmes, the role holder will support Software Delivery and IT Operations with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements and designs, often representing the voice of the customer and business in these discussions. The Business Analyst's Change Management activities span from early change planning and audience analysis; through to designing and delivering change interventions (e.g. communications, training, support, organisation alignment); and tracking and taking actions on change readiness, adoption, and feedback. Business Analysts are also responsible for Implementation Management, including planning, controlling and reporting on implementation of the change - product-, focusing on accelerating benefits and minimising risk during deployment. Implementation activities will also include managing implementation readiness and managing the early stages of implementation (e.g. pilot). In re-engineering projects, they work closely with the Process Consultants in analysing and re-engineering world class business processes. Business Analysts will often lead design workstreams or teams, managing other Analysts, SMEs and resources from our delivery partners.  Role Dimensions  Good understanding of the principles and processes fund administration and accounting  Strong general systems skills  Excellent problem-solving skills  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Highly organized, able to self-direct, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines  Good documentation and knowledge transfer skills  Understanding of project Lifecycle.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory guidance.  Project management skills and experience, including examples of the delivery of on time and on a budget - a driver with a bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes.  Experience gathering requirements, process re-engineering or conducting design activity.  The experience of communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.  Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications  Experience in Accounting and Valuation  NAV/Fund Accounting Background  Involve in Client onboarding and Change in the system.  Master of Business Administration (desirable).  NAV processing team where they have handled funds with direct investment in underlying assets (equities, bonds, derivatives, etc). (We interviewed a few guys who had only worked with funds of funds which means that they don't really gain an understanding of assets, income, corporate actions, etc )   It is beneficial if they have been involved in project work; maybe testing changes to the systems, etc.   It would be perfect if they had worked in a team implementing changes to other fund accounting systems but that is probably not very likely.
