AVP-Testing Role-HSBC-Kolkata  Role Purpose  The Test Manager is responsible for managing one or more teams who test changes and enhancements to systems to ensure that these changes have the effect intended by the development and business teams. The Test Manager monitors the quality of their team's work and schedules the workload. They also contribute to determination of system testing procedures and ensuring that the most effective tools and techniques are employed.   The Test Manager works with the Head of Testing to set up work practices implementing standards and quality monitoring during development, implementation and daily use.  Role Dimensions  - Develop or maintain Business Acceptance Test strategies and plans  - Manage the execution of Test Scripts/Scenarios/Run Books but may be called on to develop Test Scripts/Scenarios/Run Books too  - Help develop programme level test standards for script development, deployment and reuse.  - Leverage in-house test tools and techniques  - Participate in business testing project planning by writing test plans and test cases based on project requirements and needs manage  - Write up, reproduce and define defect reports in the tool provided - defect reports  - Participate in requirements, design and specification reviews  - Conduct meetings to review, triage and prioritize defects with developers and business  - Work with the onshore test managers for scheduling and prioritisation of work  - Resource management of a team of test analysts   - Manage a small team of Test analysts work and scheduling working on various project and programmes simultaneously   - Production of Management Information reports for various stake holders  Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications  - Experience in testing ideally with Business/User Acceptance Testing (BAT)  - Experience with fund accounting preferred  - Experience with test management software (QC preferred)  - Excellent oral and written skills  - Management of test teams  - Client interaction and communication   Have a good knowledge of the project and test lifecycle  Strong analytical skills and an ability to find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution  Substantial experience of functional testing and test management  Good working knowledge of functional test automation and test management tools and practices, in particular Mercury Quality Centre and Quick Test Professional  Capability to communicate effectively with contractors or remote staff  Effectively co-ordinate delivery of services involving elements delivered by others  Fund Accounting  Data Warehousing
