Support of all components forming part of the Analytics Solution  - Develop tools for the team and the desk as required  Principal Accountabilities:  Key activities and decision making areas :   Impact on the Business :   - Developing and enhancing the Pricing Library's features to meet business requirements  - Building and releasing the components needed for the Analytics workflows  - Developing systems/infrastructure in collaboration with IT  Customers/Stakeholders :   - Users of Quant libraries, including IT.  - GBM Service Centre management in Bangalore  - Global Quant team and Equities management  - Internal Collaboration - Develops close and effective working relationships within respective Functions /Businesses  - Build a good relationship with the global team, to ensure communication lines are fluid.  Leadership and Teamwork :   - Assisting other members of the Equities Quant team with technical issues.  - Develop and maintain a testing framework for the Quant libraries and tools  - Develop new components and enhance the Quant Libraries and tools  - Analytics spreadsheets/prototypes  - Day to day support / Bugs fixing  - Assist in the release of the Quant libraries and tools  - Assist IT with integration issues  - Assist in deploying the Analytics tools to users  - Working closely with IT on implementing systems/ infrastructure relevant to the needs of the desk/team  Liaise with the X-Asset IT teams to :  Create new XDS classes  Manage existing ones  Leverage other classes  Implement functionalities to allow these classes to be loaded, saved and queried via the Analytics tools  Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements) :   - Is aware of the Operational Risk scenarios associated with their role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.  - Consistently displays the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhers to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action.  - This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators  - The jobholder will adhere to all relevant processes/procedures.  - Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.  - Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the   Role dimension : No specific budget responsibility.  Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :   - A degree based on Software Engineering and Mathematical Finance from a top tier university  - Advanced C++ (at least 5 years), COM, Multi-threading (Windows/VC11) using Visual Studio 2013  - Experience in multithreading/multiprocessing low latency development in a windows environment.  - Spreadsheet development experience (Excel and VBA)  - Scripting and Python experience desirable but not essential  - Excellent communication and problem solving skills  - Strong technical skills  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with very strong analytical skills.  - Motivated and a quick learner  - Attention to detail and ability to ensure that information is captured in a timely manner  Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by HR Team
