The mission of the team is to be a first line of defense and ensure risks are properly identified and mitigated (check the checker).  The Purpose of Independent Quality Assurance is to provide independent review and consulting services designed to add value and improve the overall effectiveness of the related controls, risk management, and governance processes. Primary responsibilities include:  - Secondary Reviews - Post approval, risk based sample check of KYC profiles  - Targeted Reviews - Assists KYCS and BMO in self-identifying trends/areas of concern from a regulatory/operational perspective.  - Root-cause analysis / Related Actions - Analysis of errors to determine root cause/trends and agree on appropriate action, action owner, and target date.  - Facilitate Internal/External Audit Requests to Review KYC Profiles: Package KYC profiles/documentation as requested.  - iQA Consultancy - to build/enhance the quality control framework in non-KYCS countries  Skills/Experience Required  - Previous team handling experience for a minimum period of 12 months - However this is an IC role  - Excellent understanding of KYC, financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications.  - Should have worked extensively across all profile risk levels (Standard, Medium Risk, High Risk and SCC)  - Working knowledge of World-Check, and Banker's Almanac, Lexis-Nexis  - Familiarity with appropriate regulatory framework and legislation and other Anti Money Laundering regulatory framework  - Thorough understanding and analytical skills of legal structures of various client types: (FIG/Corporate financial institutions, corporate, quoted companies, private companies, hedge funds, SPVs, partnerships etc  - Good understanding of MS office and proven skills on banking platforms
